What is water?

Although there are around 3000 known chemicals that humans can consume, the most important substance on Earth is water. Water makes up 70% of all living substances and all organisms from microscopic organisms to fish-eating sharks, need to stay hydrated. Benefits of Drinking 8 Cups of Water a Day

The benefits of drinking 8 glasses of water a day include keeping the body hydrated and preventing dehydration. This is just one of the many health benefits that come with drinking water each day. The facial skin is moisturized with the inclusion of water, therefore hydrated skin is typically younger looking. Depending on the person, this can decrease wrinkles. If staying hydrated each day habitually, blood circulates better in the body as the blood is not as thick as it would be if you were dehydrated.

Which is better, tap or bottled water?

Tap water is better because it has been filtered and processed before it arrives at your home. Bottled water, on the other hand, may come from a place where there are no public drinking fountains. Bottled water can also be contaminated with bacteria, pesticides, and other chemicals like plasticizers.

What Are The Benefits of Drinking Bottled Water?

Refilling water bottles is easier than refilling a glass or pitcher, and it takes up less space. Bottled water costs less money to buy, and the cost of bottled water is often less than the cost of tap water. Bottled water is also safer to drink because it does not require boiling, filters, or other methods to make it safe.

The benefits of drinking bottled water are that it is easier to refill bottles than glasses or pitchers, less expensive to buy, and safer to drink.

Benefits of Only Drinking Water

How Many Gallons of Water Should I Drink a Day?

“The benefits of drinking a gallon a day” is an article by John Durant, who wrote it after interviewing hundreds of people and conducting his own research. He found that when he drank that amount of water, he felt more energetic, alert, and even had a better memory. He also found that the subjects who drank the most water were less likely to suffer from headaches or fatigue.

Drinking the recommended amount of water every day has many benefits. It can help you to be more alert and even improve your memory, but it also helps to prevent headaches and fatigue.

How Much Water Should You Drink?

The amount of water you need to drink each day depends on how much activity you do. On average, adults should drink about eight 8-ounce glasses of fluid per day.

Now, let’s get to the real reason you’re here – the top benefits of drinking enough water.

7 Benefits of Drinking Water

1. Helps you maximize physical performance

If you play any time of sports, then being hydrated should be of utmost importance to you. While you exercise, you sweat. You have to make sure that you are replacing the fluids that you are losing. The best way to do this is by drinking water. Yes, there are drinks out there like Body Armor and Gatorade, but those can be very sugary. The purest liquid is water and it is the best beverage of choice.

2. Have higher energy levels and brain function

I know a lot of people out there that are always saying they’re tired. Guess what? They may just be dehydrated! Being hydrated helps to make sure that you are in tip-top shape to power through your workout, or chase the kids around the house.

If your body is affected by how much water you do or do not drink, then you know your brain is going to be affected. There are studies out there that show the brains of dehydrated adults a lot of times, show increased neuronal activation when performing engaging tasks. What does this mean? That their brains are working harder than normal to complete the tasks. This shouldn’t happen. Prevent this by picking up that water bottle and taking a chug every so often!

3. May help prevent and treat headaches

Have you ever heard of a dehydration headache? Well, now you have. If you have pulsating pain on the side of your head that worsens with physical activity, it is very likely that you have a dehydration headache. Of course everyone’s symptoms for headaches while dehydrated can vary.

To resolve this, drink a glass of water or two. It is likely that within three hours or so your headache will either go away completely or at least lessen. Whatever you do, do NOT take pain killers that include caffeine. This will worsen your symptoms because caffeine causes dehydration.

4. May help relieve constipation

The main way in which water can help relieve constipation is by helping to soften and evacuate stool. Water also helps to decrease the pressure on your abdomen, making it easier for you to pass stool.

5. May help treat kidney stones

Drinking water is a natural way to flush out the kidneys and reduce kidney stone risk. Water contains essential minerals, such as magnesium and calcium that help regulate the body’s fluid balance. When the kidneys are not functioning properly, this balance can be thrown off. Over time, excess fluid builds up and creates a stone in the kidney. Drinking plenty of water helps dilute the yellow urine and flush out toxins from your body. Toxins create a problem, or multiple problems, in your body so flushing toxins out is important for your overall health.

6. Helps prevent hangovers

Drinking water can help prevent hangovers by relieving the symptoms of dehydration. Dehydration is a common factor in hangovers, and drinking water helps to replenish fluids lost due to alcohol.

7. Can aid in weight loss

Drinking water can help you lose weight by increasing your metabolism. Drinking water increases the amount of energy you burn, which is why it’s important to stay hydrated throughout the day.

The Bottom Line

Drinking water also helps reduce weight, regulate blood pressure levels, prevent kidney stones, so much more! There are so many health benefits of drinking enough water- it can help you live longer. So make sure you keep up on your daily intake or else face some serious consequences! I hope that this content helped inform you on getting adequate water intake in your days.
